Fragmentation

OpenSignalMaps’ developers have posted this crazy graph (tip of the hat to Arstechnica) showing their app has been accessed by 3997 different devices. No wonder developers are frustrated with the fragmentation of the Android platform. Thousands of different devices, with dozens of screen sizes, running many different versions of Android (the most popular at 55% is version 2.2, Froyo, released in 2010 and doesn’t contain any of Android’s newest features).

When you have fragmentation you get poor app development.
